Yesterday was a happy day. I became a Superhero. I made the dead alive, I teleported to my favourite places and I crawled walls. Then the show was over and people went home. And I woke up. A transition from fantasy to reality.
We all are imperfect beings striving to reach a level where we have some special powers which no one else has. And if we fail to acquire one, we cry in front of gods for our fallibility. As we grow older, these powers change at a dizzying rate. From flying high in the sky like Superman to merely sleeping at night, from being invisible like Mr India to actually facing the world every day; from being able to travel time to actually able to take time for ourselves… from imagination to the fierce reality, it all changed.
But what if I tell you, we all have superpowers. What if I tell you, we all are the real-life superhumans actually capable of doing everything we wish to (Wait! there is a catch)…with just some tricks and magic!
Words of William George Jordan,
“Into the hands of every individual is given a marvellous power for good or evil —the silent, unconscious, unseen influence of his life. This is simply the radiation of what man really is, not what he pretends to be.”
Question 1) What is a superpower for you? Is it the same definition as the person sitting next to you has?
Someone’s intuition can be a superpower, mother’s love for her child can be a superpower and someone’s extraordinary thinking skills can be a superpower. We all have a magnificently different vision of life and this world and paradigm is the answer to it, ergo, for each one of us different power is a superpower.
Question 2) Which superpower to gain?
You just need to dig deep inside for the answer; everything is there in that mind. Ever played with your mind? Ever tricked your mind? Try it. It’s one of the best experiences of life. Dream and know that you are dreaming of practising lucid dreaming. Start having control over your mind. Think about what you are. Ask your mind what is that one thing that you have and no one else has. Maybe you dance as if you are flying, maybe you sing as if you can make the dead alive, maybe you write as if you are travelling time… and maybe it’s so much more you can do than you think you can. All the magic lies in that magic bottle called the brain. Explore it; find the right choice of your power.
Question 3) You know what you have inside you, but how to gain it? How to make your powers come into action?
The prime motive of you reading this article isn’t knowing that you have superpowers, it’s the practice by which we can actually gain them and make those passive powers lying inside us find a path to crawl, to work, to be productive.
So let’s talk about those light terms with heavy meaning making you a superhuman in few minutes:
Practice: You know it’s in you, but you absolutely do nothing to make the edges clear. Then, the Practice comes into the role. In the words of Vladimir Horowitz- “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is practice.”
Healthy balance: The human body consists of four parts: BODY, MIND, HEART and SOUL. Make sure when you have started working on your powers all these four components are happy. Suppose you practice dance every day and you get so involved in it that you forget to feed your body. In this case, you won’t become a powerful superhuman.
Introspection and Inspection: With great power, comes great responsibility. Time to time analyze how well you are using your powers and what are the other ways and platforms where you be fruitful for the universe. If you are practising your powers in a small area, increase your territory and save the world.
Change: If with your powers you can change either your life or someone else’s life, you win!
“The biggest superpower you can have is the ability to change your own life. It’s in your hands, and if you believe that you can get the power you want, you can do whatever you wish to do.”
– Hrithik Roshan
